NEW DELHI: SmallCap stocks were trading lower at 01:09PM (IST) on Friday.
Shares of Prabhat Dairy (down 11.48 per cent), Orient Paper & Industries (down 5.85 per cent), Indiabulls Integrated Ser (down 5.62 per cent), Vikas Wsp (down 5.5 per cent) and Future Enterprises (down 4.93 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
While Lakshmi Vilas Bank (up 10.67 per cent), Repco Home Finance (up 9.78 per cent), Shably Ltd (up 8.36 per cent), Career Point (up 7.68 per cent) and Steel Strips Wheels (up 7.23 per cent) were among the top gainers.
The S&P BSE SmallCap index was trading 0.31 per cent down at 14963.93 around 01:09PM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 58.50 points at 11893.1, while the BSE Sensex was up 242.98 points at 40425.65.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 24 were trading in the green, while 26 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Vedanta , Alok Industries and Bank of Baroda were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of JK Cement, Apollo Hospital, Hero MotoCorp, Cadila Health and JSW Steel hit their fresh 52week high in today's trade, while A & M Febcon Ltd., Majestic Research Services & Solutions Ltd., Pazel International Ltd., Stephanotis Finance Ltd., S & S Power Switchgear Ltd., Neil Industries Ltd., Primuss Pipes & Tubes Ltd., California Software Company Ltd., Seasons Furnishings Ltd. and B P Capital Ltd. hit fresh 52week low in trade.
