Karnataka registers 10704 cases

Bengaluru, Oct 8 (UNI) With the reporting of another highest-single-day 10704 cases of COVID-19, the total number of persons infected with the pandemic disease rose to 679356 on Thursday in Karnataka.
The number of deaths also surged to 9675 with 101 more persons have succumbed to the disease, in the last 24-hours.
The number of COVID-19 patients, who had completely cured of the disease also rose to 552519 with 9613 patients, who got discharged from various hospitals on Thursday.
The Bengaluru Urban district had registered the highest number of 5121 cases followed by, Bagalakote 98, Ballari 248, Belaavi 185, Bengaluru Rural 368, Bidar 27, Chamarajanagara 68, Chikkaballapura 100, Chikkamagaluru 142, Chitradurga 215, Dakshina Kannada 296, Davanagere 238, Dharwada 121, Gadaga 42, Hassana 441, Haveri 108, Kalaburagi 128, Kodagu 94, Kolara 129, Koppala 97, Mandya 206, Mysuru 642, Raichuru 111, Ramanagara 91, Shivamogga 250, Tumakuru 509, Udupi 239, Uttara Kannada 213, Vijayapura 110 and Yadagiri district 67.
The sources also informed that in the last 24-hours as many as 105248 persons had undergone COVID-19 tests including that of 51221 Rapid Antigen Detection Tests.

CBI registers case against private company in Telangana on charges of bank fraud, conducts searches

Kerala reports 24 COVID deaths, 5,445 new +ve cases: Health Minister

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 8 (UNI) Kerala reported 24 deaths due to COVID-19 on Thursday whereas 5,445 people tested positive to the virus, 7,003 patients have recovered from the disease and 63,146 patients are under treatment, Health Minister KK Shailaja said.
