Hoshiarpur dist records 38 new Corona cases in past 1 day

Hoshiarpur, Oct 8 (UNI) As many as 38 new COVID-19 cases were reported during the past 24 hours, taking the district count to 4931 of which 527 are active cases, said a spokesperson of the local Health Department in a statement here Thursday evening.
He said the death toll of COVID-19 patient stood 177.

The Health Department Thursday received reports of 1877 samples of which 12 persons of Hoshiarpur and 26 from other health centres of the district were reported coronavirus positive. Samples of 1828 persons having symptoms of flu had been taken Thursday.
The total samples of suspected coronavirus patients taken by the health department in the district is 119141 of which 113080 were found negative till date. Reports of 1604 samples are still awaited. 127 samples were found invalid.
As many as 4227 patients had been cured and discharged.
