Nitish Kumar expresses deep sorrow over death of Ramvilas Paswan

Patna, Oct 8 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday expressed deep sorrow over the death of Union Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution System Minister and a popular leader Ram Vilas Paswan.
In his condolence message, the Chief Minister said here today that Mr Ramvilas Paswan was a tall political leader, an orator, popular leader, able administrator who had a special skill of running an organisation. His mixing nature with everyone was his special quality which made him a tall personality.
Mr Kumar said that Mr Paswan for the first time was elected to the Bihar assembly in the year 1969 and to the Lok Sabha from Hajipur in 1977.
His victory for Loksabha from Hajipur had made a world record.
Recalling his association with Mr Ram Vilas Paswan, the Chief Minister said that they were old friends and his demise has come to him as a personal loss.
He further said that the death of Ramvilas Paswan has created a void in Indian politics which can never be filled.
The Chief Minister prayed the Almighty to give peace to the departed soul and strength to the family to face the grief.
