Oxygen production plant inaugurated in UP

Lucknow, Oct 8(UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday virtually inaugurated a Rs 300 crore oxygen production plant, the biggest in the state, in Ghaziabad district's Muradnagar.

On the occasion, the CM said that the state was doing everything to provide best treatment to the Covid-19 patients and others.

"UP has become the top state in conducting Covid sample tests with over 1.12 crore tests so far while the number of Covid beds are also highest in the country," he claimed.

Mr Adityanath appealed to the people to continue their protection from Covid as still there is a probability of second wave in the country.

He said that his government was doing everything to attract the investors and to provide them all sops and assistance to set up their manufacturing units and to do business in the state.
The new plant would manufacture high quality liquified oxygen which will be used for the patients as well as in other areas including the Space.

The Mou of setting up this liquified oxygen unit was signed in 2018 during the investor’s meeting in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
This project of which this portion is complete with investment of Rs 150 crore and the overall project cost of Rs 300 crore.
The unit will have a capacity to store highest quantity of oxygen in the region.
