NSE-BSE bulk deals: Ascent India Fund cuts stake in Solara Active Pharma

Mumbai: Smallcap stocks continued to dominate the bulk deals on Thursday. Among the key deals, Ascent India Fund III cut its stake in API manufacturer Solara Active Pharma Sciences, while General Insurance Corp of India offloaded EIh Ltd RE.

Of the frontline indices, benchmark Sensex crossed the psychologically-important 40,000 mark for the first time since August 31, as it closed 304 points higher at 40,183, while peer Nifty rose 96 points to 11,835.

Here’s who bought and sold what in some of the key bulk and block deals of the day:
>> Ascent India Fund III sold 3,41,848 shares of Solara Active Pharma Sciences at Rs 1,212.64 per share. The fund held 2.11 per cent stake in the company at the end of June.

>> General Insurance Corporation of India sold 8,28,235 EIH Ltd RE at Rs 7.87 each, while Globe Capital Market stocked up on 6,24,252 shares at Rs 7.83 each.

>> Natural Suppliers bought 14,74,800 shares of Khemani Distributors Marketing from Gryffin Advisory Services at Rs 70 per share.

>> NRS & Sons (HUF) sold 24,000 shares of MP Today Media at Rs 12.60 per share.

>> Companies such as Just Dial and National Aluminium Co also witnessed bulk deals during the day.
