New Delhi, Oct 8 (UNI) Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Ashwini Choubey on Thursday offered condolences on the passing away of Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan, saying that he has lost an elder brother.
Paswan, who recently underwent a heart surgery, died Thursday at a Delhi hospital where he was recuperating.
"With demise of Paswanji, Bihar and India has lost tallest leader. The los is irreparable for the dalit politics too. I have lost my big brother in him. I am shocked with his sad demise," Mr Choubey said.
"I am not being able to express my grief in words. I am feeling alone with his death as he was the voice of downtrodden, dalits and poors," he said.
The 74-year-old LJP chief was undergoing treatment at the hospital, and had to undergo surgery due to the situation that had suddenly emerged, his son Chirag Paswan had tweeted on Saturday. "Papa... Now you are not in this world but I know you are always with me wherever you are. Miss you Papa," Chirag said in a tweet, in which he shared a throwback photograph with his father.
