Veteran Marathi actor Avinash Kharshikar passes away

Thane, Oct 8 (UNI) Avinash Kharshikar, veteran comic actor in Marathi film industry, died after suffering a heart attack here on Thursday, informed family sources.
He was 68.
He was rushed to the hospital , however he could not be saved, and breathed his last at around 1000 hours.
Starting off his career in 1978, late Kharshikar carved a niche for himself in the comedy genre. Subsequently, he worked in many films like Jasa Baap Tashi Poran, Aadhar, Aai Thor Tujhe Upkar, and several others.
Besides films, he also left the audience in splits through his acting in dramas. He is survived by his wife Madhavi, daughter Apoorva and grandchildren.
