Kozhikode plane crash: ongoing treatment of some passengers, compensation given to the family of the dead and injured

Air India CMD Rajeev Bansal said at the Kozhikode airport on August 7 at the Air India Express plane crash that so far two pilots, including 21 passengers, had died. Almost all have been discharged from the hospital. Two passengers are still undergoing treatment. Physiotherapy of one passenger and plastic surgery of another is being done.

He further said, 'The insurance agency has paid the families of the deceased and all the injured. He has already been given interim compensation. We have also received the first batch of interim compensation for the aircraft which crashed in the accident.

Explain that the Air India aircraft coming from Dubai to India under the Vande Bharat Mission had slipped and fallen into a ditch while landing at Kozhikode Airport. In this accident, 21 people have died, including the pilot and co-pilot. The aircraft carried 190 passengers.

Those injured in the accident were admitted to the hospital with the help of volunteers and administration. The medical officer had said that 26 volunteers who had evacuated the injured passengers on arrival at the scene have been found infected with Kovid-19.
