Notley warns that UCP changes could cause astronomical rural property tax jumps

In a press conference on Tuesday, NDP leader Rachel Notley said proposed UCP changes to the province’s Assessment Model Review could devastate rural municipalities in the province. In southern Alberta, the reeve of the MD of Taber says it could equate to the loss of about 25 per cent of the municipality’s budget. Danica Ferris reports.
