HP Ministers come out in support of MLA accused of flouting Covid rules

Shimla, Oct 7 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Health Minister Dr. Rajiv Saizal and Forest Minister Rakesh Pathania on Wednesday came out in support of a BJP MLA who was accused of flouting Covid guidelines during the inauguration ceremony of Atal Tunnel at Rohtang by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In a statement, the Minsters said, Congress leaders are doing 'cheap politics' on Covid-19 situation and it is unfortunate that they are blaming BJP leaders for spread of this virus.
They said that all the guidelines of the protocol were strictly followed by the state government during the Rohtang tunnel inauguration that held on 3rd October.
Covid test was done of all persons who attended the programme at all venues. The test results of the Covid test were shared with SPG and after clearance, persons tested Covid negative were allowed to join the programme at all venues. Those who were tested positive for coronavirus were isolated under Standard Operating Procedure, they clarified.
Dr. Saizal and Rakesh Pathania urged the Congress leaders to help the government in combating with the Covid-19 pandemic in these tough times.

“The globe has been astounded by the manner in which he (as the then Gujarat Chief Minister) tackled the Bhuj earthquake in 2001 and then confronted the COVID-19 pandemic this year. Whatever he has accomplished and is attaining as the country’s patriarch inspires every citizen to contribute towards nation-building. Mr Modi endeavoured to ensure all-round welfare. A proper system was put in place vis-à-vis irrigation, seeds, fertiliser and sale of yield. Round-the-clock power supply and a rural road network became realities,” the senior politician conveyed via social media.
