As actress Rhea Chakraborty was granted bail by Bombay High Court, Bollywood celebrities includimg Farhan Akhtar, Taapsee Pannu and Hansal Mehta celebrated the decision.
Bollywood celebrities are extremely happy to hear the decision of the Bombay High court granting conditional bail to actress Rhea Chakraborty, who was taken into custody by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in an alleged drug angle in the Sushant Singh Rajput case.
"Finally!!! She gets bail. #RHEACHAKRABORTY," filmmaker Anubhav Sinha tweeted.
Actress Taapsee Pannu hoped Rhea's time in jail "has sufficed the egos of a lot of people out there who in the name of justice for Sushant fulfilled their personal/professional agendas".
"Praying she doesn't become bitter towards the life she has ahead of her. Life is Unfair but at least it's not over as yet," she added.
Actor Farhan Akhtar took a dig at the news anchors who reported against Rhea.
"Any shrill anchors apologising for the hell they put #RheaChakraborty and her family through? Didn't think so. But watch them shift the goalpost now .. they're notorious for that," he wrote on Twitter.
Writer Kanika Dhillon tweeted: "Finally@Tweet2Rhea #RHEACHAKRABORTY gets Bail."
Ali Fazal and Hansal Mehta, too, hailed the court's decision.
"Thank God," Ali Fazal tweeted.
" Go get some rest girl," Hansal Mehta wrote on Twitter.
The Court granted bail of Rs one Lakh to Rhea, and for Rs 50,000 each to Dipesh Sawant and Samuel Miranda.
However, Justice Kotwal rejected the bail pleas by Showik Chakraborty and Abdul Basit Parihar.
Hours after writing to to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) director questioning the AIIMS report in the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput, senior advocate Vikas Singh held a press conference on Wednesday requesting the Central Bureau of Investigation to look into the conduct of Dr. Sudhir Gupta, who headed the AIIMS panel that re-examined the actor's death.
Addressing the media, Singh said, "The CBI should look into the conduct of the AIIMS team, they should examine who these doctors met and examine the statements that they have given in the media."
"If it's a suicide or not, it is not a question that shall not be answered by the doctors, it's for the investigators to say," Singh added, while raising questions on the AIIMS opinion.
He added that in the report submitted by the team to CBI there is no discussion on fractures and injuries, the viscera was so dry that it would have been difficult to bring out anything out of it.
Shortly after the family members of late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput wrote to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) demanding the reconstitution of a medical team, the federal agency sleuths were once again in Mumbai.
A CBI source told IANS that the investigation into Sushant's death is still continuing and all the aspects are being looked into "meticulously".
"As per the demand of the investigation, either a team or a set of officers visit Mumbai at regular intervals, besides the agency officers from the Mumbai branch present there," the source added.
The source, however, refused to share the name of the officials of the agency who arrived in Mumbai from Delhi.
The source said that the CBI sleuths reached Mumbai to collect more details in the case.
Vikas Singh talked about various aspects of the case.
The bail given to Rhea is on the premise of a narcotics case against her, which is very weak according to me. The real question is whether or not she administered the drugs to Sushant without his knowledge. Did she tell doctors, to whom she took him for treatment, about his usage https://t.co/aCjJf0T8e2

Rhea Chakraborty "is not part of a chain of drug dealers" and "has not forwarded the drugs allegedly procured by her to somebody else to earn monetary other benefits," the Bombay High Court said in its order. "Since she has no criminal antecedents, there are reasonable grounds for believing that she is not likely to commit any offence while on bail," said the judge.
Taapsee Pannu has taken a dig at the warriors of #JusticeforSushant campaign for alleging that Rhea financed drugs. She tweeted, "Court says no basis for such Observation! And that girl has spent weeks in jail! Slow claps for the custodians of culture and warriors of justice who got trashed by court. And our courts still know what dignity is."

SSR family questions AIIMS' 'faulty' report, Dr Sudhir Gupta's conduct
A week after the AIIMS-Delhi submitted its report to the CBI in Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death case to rule out murder, the legal team of Sushant's family has written to CBI Director Rishi Kumar Shukla to claim that the medico-legal report by the AIIMS medical board was "faulty". In the letter, the legal team represented by Varun Singh said: "I have been reading in the media about the forensic report submitted by the AIIMS to the CBI with regard to the opinion expressed by the agency in the matter of Sushant Singh Rajput's death on June 14. I have also seen some doctors on the AIIMS team come on TV and make statements with regard to the forensic examination done by the team."
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is unlikely to constitute second Forensic team to investigate the Sushant Singh Rajput death probe, sources indicated to CNN-News18. AIIMS medical board has ruled out murder in the death of Rajput, terming it "a case of hanging and death by suicide", the premier institute's forensic chief Dr Sudhir Gupta had said last week.

The AIIMS medical board report ruling out murder angle in the Sushant Singh Rajput case is a"slap" for those who had "defamed" the Maharashtra government over the actor's death, state Minister Jayant Patil said onMonday. Speaking to reporters here, the Water Resources Minister said the AIIMS report has also proved the Mumbai Police handled the case properly before it was taken over by the CBI.
A woman claiming to have vital information in actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death case has demanded security from police here in Madhya Pradesh, a senior official told news agency PTI on Tuesday. Deputy Inspector General Harinarayanchari Mishra told reporters that the woman, a Mumbai resident currently staying with her relatives in Indore, recently met him. "She claimed that she knew Rajput for a long time, andhas some vital information about the actor's death," he said without revealing the woman's identity. "She said she will reveal it in a factual manner at an appropriate forum on demand. She has expressed the need for security and we have assured her to provide the same as and when required in a swift manner," the official said.
The AIIMS on Monday said the medical board has submitted its report on the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput to the CBI and any input regarding it should be obtained from the central probe agency. The medical board has ruled out murder in the death of Rajput, terming it "a case of hanging and death by suicide", the premier institute's forensic chief Dr Sudhir Gupta had said last week.
