    NSE-BSE bulk deals: New India Assurance cuts stake in Alchemist

    Synopsis

    The New India Assurance Co sold 1,15,000 shares of Alchemist at Rs 4.79 per share. The insurer held 1.47 per cent stake in the company at the end of June.

    Belgrave Investment Fund bought 3,50,000 shares of Srikalahasthi Pipes at Rs 126.08 per share.

    Mumbai: Smallcaps dominated the bulk deals on Wednesday.

    Among the key deals, general insurer The New India Assurance Co cut its stake in diversified group Alchemist, while promoter Robust Marketing Services lapped up Deepak Fertilizers RE.

    Of the frontline indices, Sensex rose 304 points to 39,879, while Nifty climbed 76 points to 11.739 points.
