Law students write to CJI, seek action against guilty policemen in Hathras case

NEW DELHI: 510 law students from across the country have written a letter to Chief Justice of India demanding immediate action against the guilty officials, erring police personnel for their irresponsible behaviour in Hathras alleged gangrape case.
The petition signed by the law students states that the Supreme Court should give appropriate directions to all states and UTs to utilize the unused amount in Nirbhaya funds for ensuring the safety of women.
The petitioners also want that the states be directed to pass appropriate guidelines on the rights of the family members over the body of the deceased.
