LJP, now a shelter home for rebels

Patna, Oct 7 ( UNI) Frustrated with denial of party tickets, the BJP Rebel candidates have
found Lok janshakti party (LJP) as their new shelter for shaping up their future in electoral
politics.
Close on the heels of BJP state Vice President and a heavyweight party leader Rajendra
Singh joining LJP, an another senior woman leader of the party Dr Usha Vidyarthi who had
been Vice President of the party too joined LJP on Wednesday.
Dr Vidyarthi would be throwing her hats in Bihar assembly election from Paliganj assembly
seat of Patna district .
Rameshwar Chaurasia assistant incharge of BJP's political affairs in Uttar Pradesh who had represented Nokha assembly seat of Rohtas district for four terms, is also disappointed with
his seat going in the the fold of the alliance partner, Janata Dal (U) in the seat sharing.
Mr Chaurasia is also a Rebel leader whom LJP is openly offering shelter. Mr Chaurasia,
however is yet to take any decision on the offer of the LJP.
While talking UNI Mr. Chaurasia said that he had been elected continuously from Nokha
assembly seat since 2000 till 2010 but had lost in 2015 only because some of the portion
of his constituency was included in Sasaram assembly seat due to delimitation. Despite this
he was continuously active in his constituency, added Mr Chaurasia who is a popular leader
in Nokha and Sasaram Assembly Constituency .
Briefing about his commitment towards BJP, Mr Chaurasia said that despite being a topper
student of Jawaharlal Nehru University he did not chose for civil services and instead entered
into the politics inspired by the BJP stalwarts Mr Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Mr Lal Krishna Advani .
Apparently exasperated with the current political scenario Mr. Chaurasia described it as
"dirty politics" saying that the kind of treatment he has been getting within the party, sometimes
he wish to quit not only the BJP but the entire politics.
The LJP has fielded Mr Rajendra Singh who had been associated with Rashtriy Swayamsevak
Sangh from Dinara Assembly Constituency against the sitting Jay du MLA and Minister Jayakumar Singh.
Mr Rajendra Singh got associated with RSS in 1983 and then with the BJP in 2004. Being
BJP leader he was conferred upon with the responsibilities of BJP organisational secretary of
Varanasi .
Later in 2013 he was made party state General Secretary of Jharkhand.
Dr Usha Vidyarthi was for the first time elected to the Bihar assembly from Paliganj Assembly Constituency in 2010.
Dr Vidyarthi, a member of Bihar Women Commission and also a spokesperson of the BJP was denied ticket during last assembly election and was replaced by Ram Janam Sharma who lost the election at the hands of RJD candidate Jaivardhan Yadav.
Under seat sharing, Paliganj assembly seat is now with JD( U) which has fielded Jaivardhan
Yadav who joined the party abandoning RJD ahead of the assembly elections.
