Chennai, Oct 7 (UNI) DMDK Founder and actor-politician

A Vijayakanth, who was admitted to hospital here last

night for COVID-19 follow up, would be discharged shortly.

A medical update issued by MIOT International, where

he was admitted, said 'consistent with planned follow-up

for COVID-19, Vijayakanth underwent radiological

assessment that showed significant improvement'.

'He is being discharged shortly from hospital', it said.

Vijayakanth was admitted to the hospital recently after

routine tests returned positive for COVID-19.

Later, his wife and DMDK Treasurer Premalatha also

tested positive and was admitted to the hospital.

After they recovered well, both of them were discharged

last week.
