Stock market update: SmallCap stocks down; Himatsingka Seide dives 9%

NEW DELHI: SmallCap stocks were trading lower at 12:56PM (IST) on Wednesday.

Shares of Himatsingka Seide (down 8.96 per cent), HSIL (down 5.15 per cent), Intellect Design (down 5.0 per cent), DCAL (down 4.99 per cent) and Usha Martin (down 4.95 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

While Thyrocare (up 13.8 per cent), Solara Active Pharma (up 11.49 per cent), Srikalahasthi Pipes (up 10.0 per cent), Sanghi Industries (up 7.41 per cent) and NCL Industries (up 7.14 per cent) were among the top gainers.

The S&P BSE SmallCap index was trading 0.15 per cent down at 15087.48 around 12:56PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 74.25 points at 11736.65, while the BSE Sensex was up 312.51 points at 39887.08.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 21 were trading in the green, while 29 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Trident Ltd, YES Bank, Alok Industries and Vedanta were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Thyrocare Technologies Ltd., Solara Active Pharma Sciences Ltd., Metropolis Healthcare Ltd., Dr. Lal Pathlabs Ltd. and Infibeam Avenues Ltd. hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while 7NR Retail Ltd., Panth Infinity Ltd., Innovative Ideals and Services (India) Ltd., A & M Febcon Ltd., Saffron Industries Ltd., Viaan Industries Ltd., Spice Islands Apparels Ltd., SC Agrotech Ltd., Pazel International Ltd. and Libord Finance Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
