MP bids farewell to CRPF martyr Dhirendra

Bhopal, Oct 7 (UNI) Pride jostled with grief to be the uppermost emotion in the collective psyche as Madhya Pradesh bade a sombre adieu to its gallant son Dhirendra Tripathi – a Central Reserve Police Force constable who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan himself reached Satna District’s Padiya village with several other public representatives on Wednesday and laid a wreath on the martyr’s mortal remains, it was officially learnt.

Speaking on the solemn occasion, the moist-eyed veteran leader averred, “The braveheart unflinchingly laid down his life while safeguarding the honour of Bharat Mata. I pay my humble tributes at the feet of this immortal personage on behalf of all my sisters and brothers across this state. A Shraddha Nidhi of Rs 1 crore will be provided to the bereaved family. It is a grim fact of our existence that those who traverse the final frontier cannot be brought back among us but my dispensation stands with this sorrowing household whose one member shall be granted government employment. A school or other institution and a road will be named after the martyr.”

The senior politician consoled the deceased’s sire Ramkalesh, mother Urmila and spouse Sadhana, interacted with the constable’s three-year-old son Kanha besides other relatives.

“A statue shall be installed in consultation with the government school here or local public representatives so that future generations derive inspiration from this glorious martyrdom and the noble sentiments of courage plus patriotism are further strengthened,” Mr Chouhan said.

At approximately 1700 hrs on Monday, Const Tripathi – of the 110th Battalion stationed in Pulwama District’s Lethpura – was part of a detachment returning to camp when terrorists unleashed a dastardly attack resulting in the martyrdom of two personnel and grievous injuries to three.

Medical Education Minister Vishvas Sarang, Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Minister Ramkhelawan Patel, Rewa parliamentarian Janardan Mishra, erstwhile minister Rajendra Shukla, Raigaon legislator Jugul Kishor Bagri, Semariya MLA KP Tripathi and his Sirmour counterpart Divyaraj Singh were among those present.
