TCS Q2 results: Net profit drops 7% YoY to Rs 7,475 cr; board approves Rs 16,000 cr share buyback

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India's Information Technology services company, on Wednesday reported a 7.05% year-on-year (YoY) decline in its net profit at Rs 7,475 crore for the second quarter ended September 2020. It reported a net profit of Rs 8,042 in the corresponding quarter last year. The reported profit during the quarter was below ET Now poll of analysts which had projected the Tata Group company to net Rs 8,073 crores in July-September quarter.
