MP CM to dedicate projects

Bhopal, Oct 6 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will dedicate to the people, at 1000 hrs during a virtual programme on Thursday, infrastructural development projects completed by the Rural Development Department.
These include ‘remote approach’ roads, schools and roads connecting community buildings – finished under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme – and those laid under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, an official release said.

In view of the coming Assembly by-elections, districts where the Model Code of Conduct is not in force shall be linked with this event.

Bhopal, Oct 6 (UNI) As a shocked nation is still attempting to come to terms with the Hathras horror, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday decided to hand over to the Central Bureau of Investigation the sexual assault-homicide matter of a 12-year-old who was targeted at the local Manuabhan Tekri on April 30, 2019; it was officially learnt.
“Perpetrators will be severely punished in cases of crimes against our daughters,” the veteran leader warned.

Mandis becoming smart markets: MP CM

Bhopal, Oct 6 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan underlined on Tuesday that mandis are being transformed into smart markets and their premises being developed as multipurpose campuses, official sources said.
“Special attention is being paid to infrastructure and maintenance so that our cultivator brethren and traders continue to benefit from improved facilities. With the mandi fee being 50 paise, it is bound to help in the process of protection of interests of tillers and traders, smooth operation of markets plus expansion of development activities,” the veteran leader told office-bearers and members of the Sakal Anaj Dalhan Tilhan Vyapari Mahasangh Samiti at Mantralaya.

Subsidy to continue in MP

Bhopal, Oct 6 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Government on Tuesday decided that subsidy of Rs 95 per kW per month will be continued at the cost charge determined by the Electricity Regulatory Commission for low-tension streetlight connections of civic bodies, it was officially learnt.
The related virtual meeting of the Cabinet was conducted under Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s chairmanship.
