MM Mani becomes fourth Kerala minister to test positive for Covid-19

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Fourth minister in the state government has been tested Covid-19 positive. The latest being power minister MM Mani. He has been admitted to medical college hospital in Thiruvananthapuram.
The additional private secretary of the power minister was tested positive last week. Following this all the personnel staff members including the minister were tested. But all were tested negative.
However, the minister developed symptoms following which he was tested on Wednesday in which he became positive. Now all the personnel staff members of the minister have been asked to go on quarantine. The minister in a message through the social medial also asked all those who have come into close contact with him in the past few days to get checked for Covid-19.
Earlier agriculture minister V S Sunil Kumar, finance minister Thomas Isaac and industry minister EP Jayrajan were tested positive. Of this Thomas Isaac was admitted to the medical college hospital in Thiruvananthapuram and he was later discharged.
EP Jayarajan who was admitted at Pariyaram medical college hospital in Kannur was discharged after he was tested negative. Jayarajan who reached the state capital after this had started attending his official work. But he developed health issues later and he has been now admitted to the medical college hospital in Thiruvananthapuram.
