The BJP on Wednesday announced the Mukesh Sahni-led Vikas Insan Party (VIP) to give 11 of its 121 quota seats in the Bihar assembly elections. Also, VIP became part of the National Democratic Alliance in Bihar.

This information was given at the press conference in the presence of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president Sanjay Jaiswal, election in-charge, and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, and VIP party chief Mukesh Sahni. Saffron party state president Sanjay Jaiswal told reporters, "The BJP has given the VIP party 11 seats in the assembly with its quota and will also give one seat of the Legislative Council in future."

Significantly, a day earlier, the seat-sharing in the NDA was finalized for the Bihar assembly elections, under which BJP got 121 seats while JD (U) got 122 seats. JD (U) has given seven seats to Jitan Ram Manjhi's 'Hum' party with his account.

At the same time, BJP's state in-charge Bhupendra Yadav tweeted, "The Vikas Insaan Party (VIP) is part of the NDA in the Bihar assembly elections. In this election, BJP is giving 11 seats from its quota to Mukesh Sahni's VIP party. BJP is a party to carry every section of the society together and strengthen the representation of all sections. ''

At the same time, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi said, "The Congress Party has nothing to do with backward-backward people. We are happy that Mukesh Sahni, the leader of the 40 per cent backward society of Bihar, has joined us.

During the announcement of the seat sharing between constituents by the RJD-led grand alliance, Sahani was angered and left the press conference after not giving the number of seats to the VIPs. Sahani, a former Bollywood set designer, told reporters on Wednesday that one side (RJD-led Mahagathbandhan) acted as a dagger in the back while the other side (National Democratic Alliance) acted as healer.
