Ryots to get full help against ruined crops: MP CM

Bhopal, Oct 5 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan underlined on Monday that complete financial assistance will be provided at the earliest – irrespective of the circumstances – to cultivators whose crops were affected by inclement weather and insects, it was officially learnt.
“Though the ‘millennium scourge’ has dealt a body blow to the economy, no stone shall be left unturned vis-à-vis helping our peasant brethren who need not harbour trepidation, as my dispensation stands alongside them. Premier Narendra Modi and his ministerial colleagues have been requested to make adequate fiscal aid available to the state. In this regard, a team comprising Madhya Pradesh ministers and bureaucrats will be dispatched in the near future to the Centre for follow-up,” the senior politician averred while chairing a review at Mantralaya.

Agriculture Minister Kamal Patel, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Principal Secretary (Agriculture) Ajit Kesari, PS (Revenue) Manish Rastogi and Commissioner (Agriculture Production) Kishore Kumar Singh were among those present.
