Nagaland detects 68 new COVID-19 positive cases

Kohima, Oct 06 (UNI) In Nagaland, altogether 68 COVID-19 positive cases have been
detected today, and with these the total number of positive cases in the State now rose
up to 6,662.
Nagaland Principal Secretary for Home Abhijit Sinha in a release informed that obit
of the new 68 COVID-19 cases, the break up as 29 in Kohima, 31 in Dimapur, 2 in
Mokokchung, 2 in Mon and 4 in Peren. Out of the 6,662 positive cases, the total
recoveries so far are 5,408.
According to today’s recovery 37 COVID-19 positive patients have been discharged
and the break-up is 28 patients from Dimapur, four patients from Kohima, three patients
from Mon and two patients from Phek.
The active cases are 1,179 and there have been 12 deaths. As per the severity of
symptoms, 1,130 active cases are asymptomatic, 42 active cases are mild, 5 active
cases are moderate and 2 active cases are with oxygen.
Further, out of 6,662 positive cases, the distributions across various categories of
people are 3,142 cases of Armed Forces and Police, 1,530 cases of Returnees, 1,633
cases of Traced Contacts and 357 cases of Frontline Workers, he added.
