Fake news travels faster than lightning and social media is just the right place for such misinformation to run amok. One such fake news that is doing the rounds is that the Centre is depositing an amount of Rs 3,000 in all accounts under the Pradhan Mantri Mandhan Yojana.
However, this is a completely false piece of news and the Centre has not made any such announcement and the YouTube video, claiming this, is completely fake.
The Government of India's Press Information Bureau (PIB) has made it aptly clear that the government has not made any such announcement. Press Information Bureau (PIB) in a tweet wrote, ”Claim: In a #YouTube video, it is being claimed that the central government is giving cash amount of 3000 rupees per month in the accounts of all under the Pradhan Mantri Mandhan Yojana.
pic.twitter.com/ZwcFRNfijt
