Covid-19: MMR crosses 5 lakh cases; Maharashtra and Mumbai see dip in new infections

Even as the state and city registered a dip in cases on Monday, the Covid-19 caseload of Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) went past the 5 lakh mark to reach 5,02,583. The region reported 79 deaths on Monday, taking its toll to 16,376. The state’s case tally is 14.5 lakh now, report Bhavika Jain and Malathy Iyer.
