Rs. 48 crore to the State.
He said an amount of Rs. 3.5 crore from the PM Care fund was spent on providing
food to several beneficiaries across the State during the ongoing pandemic.
Tynsong informed that the State government has cleared bills of different departments
to the tune of Rs. 270 crore and the remaining balance would be cleared soon.
“These spending would be subjected to audit and reflect in the CAG’s annual report,”
Tynsong told reporters while stating that people are already questioning the government's
spending over its fight against COVID-19 pandemic.
Revealing that the state’s financial position is not “conducive”, the Deputy Chief Minister

seek more funds as the Centre has a special financial package for the state apart from the
entitlement given by the Central government.”
Giving a detailed break-up of the amount spent, the Deputy Chief Minister said a total of
Rs. 188.9 crore was spent to meet the expenditures in the Corona Care Centres,

National Health Mission (NHM).
“A total of Rs. 82.4 crore was spent for procurement of machines, oxygen cylinders, BP
monitors, ventilators, surgical gloves, thermal scanners and other items under the Director
of Health Services,” Tynsong said.
Furthermore, he informed that an amount of Rs. 7.4 crore was spent from Chief Minister's
Relief Fund for procurement of ambulances, bio-medical waste vans and charges for
quarantine centres.
“Under the Chief Minister’s Special Grant - which included payment to stranded citizens of
the state, bringing them back and provision for kits amounted to Rs. 14.7 crore,” he said.
Moreover, another 51 crore was spent in providing assistance to labourers, daily wage
earners and BPL families out of the Chief Minister's Relief fund. Several lakh people have
benefitted from the CM’s relief fund, Tynsong informed.
The Deputy Chief Minister also informed that the State has also provided financial
assistance to the people through the SRWP fund or MLA scheme.
He said that each MLA was sanctioned an amount of Rs. 25 lakh to spend in their
constituencies and another Rs. 8.9 crore was spent from the District Rural relief fund.
“From the State Disaster Relief Fund an amount of 23.7 crore was spent for creation
of laboratories, procuring testing kits, storage plants and in the containment zones.
“The Urban Affairs department has spent Rs. 3.5 crore for sanitization works and other
