Haryana registers 1,206 new COVID-19 cases, 18 fatalities

Chandigarh, Oct 6 (UNI) With the detection of 1,206 fresh COVID-19 cases in Haryana on Tuesday, the infection tally in the state surged to 1,36,115.
The death toll also mounted to 1,509 in the state after 18 more patients succumbed to the virus in last 24 hours.
According to the department's bulletin, the virus claimed four lives each in Hisar and Yamunanagar districts, two each in Gurugram, Sonipat and Panipatand one life each in Sirsa, Jind, Kaithal and Fatehabad districts today.
The bulletin stated that among the new cases 266 were reported from Gurugram district, 148 from Faridabad, 96 from Hisar, 84 each from Kurukshetra and Rohtak, 57 from Ambala, 53 from Panchkula, 51 from Nuh, 50 from Karnal, 45 from Rewari, 37 from Mahendergarh, 33 each from Sirsa and Sonipat, 32 each from Pnipat, Palwal and Bhiwani, 23 from Jhajjar, 19 from Yamunanagar, 17 from Charkhi Dadri and 14 new cases from Kaithal district.
Of the 1509 fatalities so far, 226 deaths have been reported from Faridabad district, 180 from Gurugram, 111 from Karnal, 100 from Ambala, 94 from Panchkula, 93 from Panipat, 92 from Kurukshetra, 84 from Yamunanagar, 75 from Hisar, 70 from Sirsa, 65 from Rohtak, 48 from Sonipat, 45 from Fatehabad, 42 from Jind, 41 from Kaithal, 36 from Bhiwani, 30 from Rewari, 26 from Jhajjar, 23 from Nuh, 17 from Palwal, 7 from Mahendergarh while four deaths have been reported from Charkhi Dadri district.
Gurugram is the worst-affected district with 22,218 confirmed cases, followed by Faridabad with 20,674 cases, Sonepat with 8,603, Ambala 8,268, Karnal 7,593, Panipat 7,523, Hisar 6,885, Panchkula 6,317, Rohtak 6,309, Rewari 6,085, Kurukshetra 5,892, Yamunanagar 4,489, Sirsa 4,084, Mahendergarh 3,685, Bhiwani 2,961, Palwal 2,761, Jhajjar 2,676, Kaithal 2,565, Fatehabad 2,438, Jind 2,225, Nuh 1,189 and Charkhi Dadri with 675 cases.
Apart from these, there are 21 US-returnee Haryana citizens who have been found COVID-19 positive, the bulletin added.
