Dhankhar said delegation terms BJP leader's killing as 'political conspiracy'

Kolkata, Oct 5 (UNI) West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar on Monday said the

delegation, which met him at Raj Bhawan, described it as a targeted political killing and

called for independent expert probe.

Taking to his twitter handle, Mr Dhankhar said, "Tearful Chandra Mani Shukla father

of 39 year only son Manish pleaded for fair investigation."

" Slain Munish, an advocate, had multiple bullet injuries in head, " he added.

" According to delegation it is a targeted political killing as hatched conspiracy and

calls for independent expert probe," the Governor stated.

The delegation demanded a CBI probe, said Barrackpore MP Arjun Singh, who alleged

that state Police were involved in the killing as sophisticated guns like carbine were used

in the killing of Manish shukla.

Taking to his twitter handle, Mr Dhankhar said, " Criminal Jurisprudence Principles

thoroughly sacrificed @WBPolice. "

" @MamataOfficial An all out effort to cover up and fishing for alibis, " he asserted.

" The manner of this dastardly act calls for focus on all angles including terror, "

Mr Dhankhar stated.

" West Bengal Police far distanced from fair investigation, " he observed.

Stressing on the need for stoppage of political violence and targeted killings, West

Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar conveyed his concern over the present alarming

scenario in the state to the new Chief Secretary.

" Conveyed my concern of the present alarming scenario @MamataOfficial to the

new Chief Secretary, " Mr Dhankhar tweeted.

" Am sure Chief Minister would be indicated all these critical aspects that run down

democratic governance and lawlessness, " he said.

" Political violence and targeted killings must stop, " the Governor added.

COVID-19 cases mount up in Meghalaya
