The Noida Police on Sunday regretted the mistreatment that happened to Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on the DND flyway. Priyanka Gandhi was going to Hathras to meet the family of the Hathras gang-rape victim when the police stopped her. During this time there were a lot of uproars. During the uproar, a policeman grabbed a kurta of Priyanka Gandhi, whose picture is becoming very viral on social media.
The Noida Police Commissionerate, while regretting the misbehavior with Priyanka Gandhi at the hands of the UP Police, tweeted that the Noida Police was sorry for the incident which took place in a huge crowd while controlling the situation. It has been written in this tweet, 'We also apologize to Priyanka Gandhi. The matter has been taken suo motu cognizance by the Deputy Commissioner of Police and is being investigated by a senior woman police officer. Punitive action will be ensured after investigation. We are committed to the full respect of women.
