Three bodies recovered so far as white mud heap falls in Jamtara, two still trapped

Jamtara, Oct 5 (UNI) Bodies of three women have been recovered so far as a mud heap
cave in took place on Monday morning at Manjhladih Pahadi under Narayanpur Police
Station area in this district.
As soon as the news spread a team of the local administration reached on the spot and
commenced the rescue operations.
Jamtara DC Faiz Ahmad Mumtaz alongwith SDO Sanjay Pandey and SDPO Arvind
Upadhyay also went to the spot.
Apart from issuing necessary instruction to conduct the relief and rescue operations the
DC also informed team of SDRF. So far bodies of three women have been taken out from
the debris and sent for post-mortem to Sadar Hospital.
The DC said that the kin of the deceased would be provided benefits under family welfare
scheme.
SDO Sanjay Pandey and other officials are still camping on the spot as two more women
are still feared trapped inside.
Jamtara MLA Irfan Ansari also reached on the spot and expressed his grief over the
incident.

Three died, seven injured in lightning strikes in Tripura

Udaipur, Oct 5 (UNI) Three people have lost their lives and seven injured at Maharani area
under Udaipur Subdivision of Gomati District in Tripura due to lightning and rain related
incidents
According to police, the incident of lightning has occurred this afternoon at around 4pm
and a total of three people died due to lightning and all the persons were forwarded to
Gomati District hospital after primary treatment at Maharani Primary Health Care Centre.
