RJD finalizes 2020 candidates for first phase of polling

Patna, Oct 05 (UNI) Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) , the main constituent unit of grand alliance, on Monday finalised the names of 20 candidates and provided them the party symbol for the first phase of elections to be held in 71 Assembly Constituencies.

The candidates were asked to arrive at the official residence of former Chief Minister Rabri Devi during the day where they were provided with the party symbol for filing nomination papers.



The party has fielded Sudhaka,r son of RJD State president Jagdanand Singh from Ramgarh, Rahul Tiwari, son Mr Shivanand Tiwari, one of the close aid of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav from Shahpur assembly seat, Vibha Devi- wife of Raj Ballabh Yadav, incarcerated in connection with rape of a minor from Nawada , Shiv Chandra Ram from Patepur, Surendra Yadav from Bela , Sarvjit Kumar from Bodhgaya , Subedaar Das from Makhdumpur, Sudha Yadav from Jehanabad, Dablu Singh from Nabinagar, Rishi Singh from Obara, Bheem Singh from Toh, Anita Devi from Nokha ,Vijay Prakash from Jamui, Ramvishun Lohiya from Jagdishpur, Ramdev Yadav from Belhar, Rajendra Yadav from Jhajha, Savitri Devi from Chalai, Samir Kumar Mahaseth from Madhubani ,Vijay Samrat from Sheikhpura and Rekha Devi from Mausaurhi.

In the first phase 71 assembly constituencies which will go to polls include Kahalgaon, Sultanganj,

Amarpur, Dhoraiya (SC), Banka, Katoria (ST), Belhar, Tarapur, Munger, Jamalpur, Suryagarha ,Lakhisarai , Sheikhpura, Barbigha, Mokam, Barh ,Masaurhi (SC), Paliganj , Bikram, Sandesh, Barhara, Arrah ,Agiaon (SC) ,Tarari , Jagdishpur , Shahpur, Brahampur, Buxar, Dumraon, Rajpur (SC), Ramgarh, Mohania (SC), Bhabua, Chainpur, Chenari (SC), Sasaram, Kargahar, Dinara, Nokha, Dehri, Karakat, Arwal, Kurtha, Jehanabad, Ghosi, Makhdumpur (SC), Goh, Obra, Nabinagar, Kutumba (SC), Aurangabad, Rafiganj, Gurua, Sherghati, Imamganj (SC), Barachatti (SC), Bodh Gaya (SC), Gaya Town, Tikari, Belaganj, Atri, Wazirganj, Rajauli (SC), Hisua, Nawada, Gobindpur, Warsaliganj, Sikandra (SC), Jamui, Jhajha, Chakai.

Counting of votes would take place on November 10.

Three died, seven injured in lightning strikes in Tripura

Udaipur, Oct 5 (UNI) Three people have lost their lives and seven injured at Maharani area
under Udaipur Subdivision of Gomati District in Tripura due to lightning and rain related
incidents
According to police, the incident of lightning has occurred this afternoon at around 4pm
and a total of three people died due to lightning and all the persons were forwarded to
Gomati District hospital after primary treatment at Maharani Primary Health Care Centre.
