SUV rams lorry, 3 of a family killed, 2 hurt in TN

Chennai, Oct 5 (UNI) Three members of a family--a
couple and their son--were killed and two others
suffered injuries when the SUV in which they were
travelling rammed into a lorry near Saram in
Tindivanam, about 120 km from here, this morning.
Reports received here said the victims were coming
to Chennai from Nagercoil when the driver, Mururgan
(30), lost control of the vehicle and rammed into the
lorry.
In the impact, Thyageswaran (60), his wife Ponmani
Jaya (58) and their son Emmanuel (26) were killed.
While Thyageswaran and Ponmani died on the spot,
Emmanuel succumbed to injuries at a private hospital
in Chennai.
Murugan and another member of the victim's family,
sustained injuries and were shifted to a hospital in
Chennai.
