The tourist resort of Varadero will be ready as of October 15 to welcome international tourists and air operations who are requested to travel to the destination, said the Ministry of Tourism of Cuba (Mintur).

The initial stage predicts a partial opening in which clients will be able to enjoy accommodation in four and five-star hotels, engage in maritime excursions, nature tours and other activities, within an permitted zone.

This phase includes extra-hotel activities associated with the Chapelin and Gaviota marinas, gastronomic, commercial and recreation services, as well as the dolphinarium, among others.

As part of hygiene measures to avoid transmission of Covid-19, all services will be paid by customers by using their credit cards to avoid handling of cash.

There will also be a medical team in all hotels of the resort who will accompany vacationers during their stay, and will carry out frequent health investigations.

The Juan Gualberto Gómez international airport in that resort is ready to resume its operations with biosecurity protocols in place to receive visitors.
