Raj Panchayat polls: Re-polling held at eight booths in Dausa

Jaipur, Oct 4 (UNI) In the first phase of Panchayat elections in Rajasthan, re-polling was held successfully at eight polling stations in Lalsot and Mahuva regions of Dausa district on Sunday.
According to the Election Department, re-polling started at 0730 hrs in the morning amid tight security.
Voters queued up to exercise their franchise, following the COVID-19 guidelines, including physical distance and wearing face masks.
Re-polling is being held at three booths of Lalsot's Gram Panchayat Talavgaon, Shyampura Kala and Jhapada and two polling centers of Saypur Pakhar Gram Panchayat in Mahuva.
No untoward incidents were reported and the polling took place smoothly.
The re-polling was ordered on Sunday morning, after a lower voter turnout was witnessed on Saturday.
