Youth charred to death as his motorbike meets with road accident, catches fire in Palghar

Palghar, Oct 4 (UNI) A 21-year-old youth was charred to death after his motorcycle met with an accident and caught fire in predominantly tribal Jawhar of the district.
The victim, Ajit Vishnu Wadu, a resident of Vadupada, was riding on his motorcycle and about 9 km away from Jawhar near Kasarwadi, a loaded truck coming from opposite direction collided head-on with the two-wheeler on Saturday evening, police said.
As a result of the accident, Ajit came under the tyre and the friction between the motorcycle and the petrol tank resulted in a spark and subsequent fire, in which he and his motorcycle were charred beyond recognition.
The truck was also partially burned.

The charred body of the victim has since been sent to the government hospital at Jawhar for post-mortem.
A case of accidental death has been registered in this regard, sources added.
