Ex-MLA Dronamraju Srinivas passes away

Visakhapatnam, Oct 4 (UNI) Former MLA and YSRCP leader Dronamraju Srinivas died at a private hospital here on Sunday.
He was 59 and is survived by his wife Seshi, daughter Sweta and son Srivatsava.
Srinivas tested positive for Coronavirus a few days ago and later he was tested negative.
However, he developed lungs infection and died while undergoing treatment in a private hospital.
He was elected to the Assembly twice from Visakhapatnam (South) constituency on the Congress party ticket in the united AP state and he unsuccessfully contested in the 2019 Assembly election.
Srinivas also worked as Chairman of the Visakhapatnam Metro Region Development Authority (VMRA).
He joined the YSRCP in 2019.
Srinivas was the son of Congress party leader and former MP Dronamraju Satyanarayana.
The funeral would be held on Monday, Srinivas’s son Srivatsava said.
Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed deep sorrow and shock over the demise of Dronamraju Srinivas who was the former VRMDA Chairman and two time MLA.
Mr Reddy in a statement said that Dronamraju Srinivas family played a key role in North Andhra and his passing away is heartrending and conveyed his condolence to the bereaved family members.
