Imphal, Oct 4 (UNI) Three persons died while 206 new COVID-19 cases were detected in the past 24 hours in Manipur.
In the past twenty-four hours, 200 persons (117 Male, 83 Female) from general population and six personnel from Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) were confirmed as new COVID19 positive cases.
The positive cases were from RIMS -65; JNIMS — 48; Senapati — 2; Noney — 13; Raj Medicity — 8; Kakching — 3; Imphal East — 4; Bishnupur — 1; Senapati — 1; Shija Hospital — 4; Tamenglong — 5; Kangpokpi — 8: Thoubal — 8; Babina Diagnostics — 18; CMD - 2; Jiribam — 3; Tengnoupal — 5; Churachandpur - 2; Hillside Hospital — 1; Advance Hospital — 3; Imphal Hospital — 1; Samaritan Hospital — 1.
The positive cases from general population were from Imphal West - 76; Imphal East —55; Thoubal — 18; Senapati —- 4; Jiribam - 3; Tengnoupal —- 3: Kangpokpi — 6; Churachandpur — 4; Noney — 13; Chandel - 3; Kakching - 4; Bishnupur - 6; Tamenglong — 5. All were without any significant travel history.
They were being shifted to the Covid Care facilities. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing were in place.
In the last 24 hours, three persons namely two females (74 yrs from Imphal West and 54 yrs from Kakching) and one male (94 yrs from Tamenglong) expired at RIMS (2) and home respectively. The cumulative number of deaths is 74.
The total number of discharged persons was 124. They were from CAPF (13), Home Isolation (2), RIMS (12), UNACCO (27), PR Kakching (3), CCC Lamboikhongnangkhong (25), Senapati (2), CCC Lamding (1), CCC Thoubal (14), CCC Jiribam (1) and JNIMS (24) after they were found COVID- 19 free on RT PCR test.
The cumulative number of positive cases was 11,855 (General Population — 9,450 and Central Security Personnel — 2,405).
The cumulative number of recovered cases was 9205 (General Population - 7127 and Central Security Personnel - 2078). The number of active cases was 2,576 (General Population — 2,252 and Central Security Personnel - 324).
The recovery rate is 77.64%, said Dr. Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang, Spokesperson, Health Department of Manipur.
