157 Police personnel promoted in central Kashmir

Srinagar, Oct 4 (UNI) As many as 157 personnel of Jammu and Kashmir police were promoted in the central Kashmir district of Badgam, a police spokesman said on Sunday.

He said Superintendent of Police (SP) Amod Ashok Nagpure has ordered In-situ promotion approved by Departmental Promotion Committee in favour of 157 officials of District Police Budgam.

The promoted constables have completed nine years satisfactory service in one rank and stagnant in a particular grade.

SP Budgam has felicitated the promoted officials and expressed hope that they will strive to work with greater zeal and professionalism for public welfare and the maintenance of peace and public order.
