Long-weekend effect? India cases drop to 75K

For the first time in more than a month, daily Covid-19 cases across the country have dropped below 80,000 on a day that was not a Monday. India recorded just over 75,000 fresh infections on Saturday while the day’s death toll too dropped below 1,000 to 939.
