Bihar Election 2020: The seats in the Grand Alliance have been announced on Saturday for the elections in Bihar, in which a psychological pressure has also been placed on the NDA
Patna. While the Mahagathbandhan has divided the seats for the Bihar assembly elections, the seat-sharing screw is still stuck in the NDA. On the one hand, Chirag Paswan is singing a different raga, while on the other hand, after several rounds of meetings, the matter between JDU BJP is also stuck.
Solution not coming out of meetings
The exercise to remove the anxiety over the seat-sharing in the NDA went on throughout the day on Saturday. The leaders of the core team of JDU-BJP, both major parties of NDA, spoke in a seat-to-seat detail. After this exercise, JDU leaders also sat with their party's national president and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Bihar BJP in-charge Bhupendra Yadav and Election in-charge former CM Devendra Fadnavis went to Delhi late on Friday night to talk to the NDA constituents on the issue of seat-sharing. He returned to Patna on Saturday afternoon. With the arrival of these two leaders, the process of negotiation on the issue of seat-sharing in the NDA started again.
After meeting with JDU leaders, BJP leaders left for Delhi, Sushil Modi, Sanjay Jaiswal, Nityanand Rai, Mangal Pandey along with Bihar in-charge of BJP Bhupendra Yadav and Devendra Fadnavis have left Delhi from Patna on Saturday night from a chartered plane. According to sources, even after the meeting held with JDU leaders on Saturday, there is no clear path for seat-sharing in NDA. After the meeting with JDU, there are some issues which will be resolved only after discussion with the BJP high command, that is, it is clear that the screw is still stuck on the seat-sharing. The delay in seat-sharing is having a direct impact on the likely faces of the candidates, especially those who have to enter the electoral fray in the first phase elections.
