Haryana registers 1,188 new COVID-19 cases, 25 fatalities

Chandigarh, Oct 3 (UNI) With the detection of 1,188 fresh COVID-19 cases in Haryana on Saturday, the infection tally in the state surged to 1,32,576.
The death toll also mounted to 1,450 in the state after 25 more patients succumbed to the virus in last 24 hours.
According to the department's bulletin, the virus claimed four lives each in Hisar, Jind and Panchkula, three each in Sirsa and Yamunanagar, two each in Rohtak and Ambala and one life each in Gurugram, Rewari and Panipat districts today.
The bulletin stated that among the new cases 277 were reported from Gurugram district, 134 from Faridabad, 116 from Hisar, 70 from Panchkula, 61 from Rewari, 58 from Rohtak, 55 from Sonipat, 51 from Kurukshetra, 50 from Ambala, 48 from Sirsa, 43 from Karnal, 39 from Bhiwani, 38 from Jhajjar, 36 from Mahendergarh, 28 from Yamunanagar, 26 from Panipat, 23 from Palwal, 19 from Jind, 10 from Kaithal, four from Charkhi Dadri and two new cases from Nuh district.
Of the 1450 fatalities so far, 223 deaths have been reported from Faridabad district, 177 from Gurugram, 109 from Karnal, 95 from Ambala, 91 each from Kurukshetra and Panchkula, 85 from Panipat, 78 from Yamunanagar, 71 from Hisar, 66 from Sirsa, 65 from Rohtak, 44 from Sonipat, 40 each from Kaithal and Fatehabad, 36 from Bhiwani, 33 from Jind, 30 from Rewari, 25 from Jhajjar, 23 from Nuh, 17 from Palwal, 7 from Mahendergarh while four deaths have been reported from Charkhi Dadri district.
Gurugram is the worst-affected district with 21,459 confirmed cases, followed by Faridabad with 20,273 cases, Sonepat with 8,464, Ambala 8,104, Karnal 7,470, Panipat 7,429, Hisar 6,584, Panchkula 6,189, Rohtak 6,096, Rewari 5,934, Kurukshetra 5,781, Yamunanagar 4,364, Sirsa 3,920, Mahendergarh 3,534, Bhiwani 2,860, Palwal 2,683, Jhajjar 2,599, Kaithal 2,503, Fatehabad 2,379, Jind 2,177, Nuh 1,130 and Charkhi Dadri with 644 cases.
Apart from these there are 21 US-returnee Haryana citizens who have been found COVID-19 positive, the bulletin added.
