Farmers' income to be doubled by 2022: Danve

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Oct 3 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Food and Civil Supplies Raosaheb Danve has informed that the Union Government is planning to take all necessary measures to double the income of farmers by 2022.
Addressing a press conference here at hotel Silver in he said that ,the union government has accepted most of the recommendations of the Swaminathan Commission in this regard.
He said the government had enacted the recent three Agriculture Reforms Bill as part of doubling the income of farmers.
He further said that the agriculture sector needs new technologies, the government has introduced soil cards, Kisan credit cards, changes in crop insurance system, micro-irrigation and e-market and has been working for the last six years to strengthen the agriculture sector,he said .
When he was asked about incident of Hathras Mr Danve refused to reply and said that he talks after the inquiry committee report which was constituted by UP government.
On this occasion Rajya Sabha MP Dr Bhagwat Karad,MLA Atul Save , Praveen Ghuge District president (Rural) Vijay Autade among others were present.
