nCov: Hoshiarpur dist records 81 new cases, 3 more deaths

Hoshiarpur, Oct 3 (UNI) As many as three more deaths and 81 new confirmed cases of coronavirus had been reported in the district during past 24 hours.
A spokesman of the local Health Department in a statement here Saturday evening stated that with the reporting of today's cases the death toll rose to 167 and district tally to 4690 of which 465 are active cases. As many as 4067 COVID-19 patients had been cured and discharged.
Among those who died of COVID-19 were two women and one man.

The Health Department Saturday received reports of 2620 samples of which 20 people of Hoshiarpur and 61 from other health centres of the district were reported coronavirus positive. Samples of 2002 persons having symptoms of flu had been taken Saturday.

The total samples of suspected coronavirus patients taken by the health department in the district is 110287 of which 104853 were found negative till date. Reports of 1191 samples are still awaited. 127 samples were found invalid.
