The controversial reality show returned with its fourteenth season on Saturday. With movie theaters remaining shut since March and the audience being starved of entertainment, Bigg Boss 2020 is expected to fill a huge void in people’s lives. While Abhinav Shukla, Eijaz Khan, Rahul Vaidya, Pavitra Punia, Jasmin Bhasin, Nikki Tamboli and Shehzad Deol have entered Bigg Boss 14 house, Jaan Kumar Sanu, Rubina Dilaik, Nishant Singh Malkani and Sara Gurpal have been rejected by Toofani seniors Hina Khan, Sidharth Shukla and Gauahar Khan.
To maintain Covid-19 related precautions, the contestants of this season had to remain quarantined before entering the Bigg Boss 14 house. “The celebrities have already started the self-quarantine process. They have been put up in different hotels so that they do not find out who their co-housemates are. They are also shooting for their reality videos, and introductory performance for the premiere night. This season, there would be 12 contestants entering the house,” a source told indianexpress.com.
During the show’s virtual press launch recently, Salman Khan revealed his reasons for resuming working with Bigg Boss 14. Expressing concern about the aftermath of the long lockdown that halted all production work in tinseltown, the actor shared that he felt he needed to start working so that others could also earn. “The biggest reason that I am doing Bigg Boss is because I wanted people to start earning again. A lot many people died of COVID and also hunger. Bigg Boss has a big unit and gives employment to a lot of people,” Salman shared. The makers also hinted that the current season will be different from the past ones. Amenities like a theater, restaurant, spa and mall would give the contestants and viewers a chance to experience pre-lockdown luxuries. Salman remarked that Bigg Boss 14 is going to be a dream come true season for contestants.
Abhinav Shukla, Eijaz Khan, Rahul Vaidya, Pavitra Punia, Jasmin Bhasin, Nikki Tamboli and Shehzad Deol have already entered the Bigg Boss house but Jaan Kumar Sanu, Rubina Dilaik, Nishant Singh Malkani and Sara Gurpal were rejected by Toofani seniors Hina Khan, Sidharth Shukla and Gauahar Khan.
Bigg Boss will air Monday-Friday at 10.30 pm and Saturday-Sunday at 9 pm on Colors. It will be available before TV exclusively on Voot Select.

Gauahar Khan asks housemates to decide kitchen duties. While Abhinav Shukla takes lunch, Eijaz Khan accepts the duty of washing utensils for lunch and breakfast. Nikki Tamboli completely refuses to wash utensils. Jasmin and Nikki get into a verbal spat. Jasmin walks out of the conversation.

As housemates wait in the garden area, Radhe Maa enters the house to bless the house and the contestants.
Sidharth Shukla, Hina Khan and Gauahar Khan plan and plot about how they will poke the contestants to show their original personalities.
Eijaz Khan and Pavitra Punia talk about how Nikki Tamboli is skipping work only because her nails will be spoilt. Later, Nikki walks up to Eijaz and give her explanation. Rahul Vaidya and Shehzad Deol join the conversation and again, Shehzad and Nikki’s conversation gets intense.
In a conversation with Rahul Vaidya, Shehzad Deol says Nikki Tamboli is only trying to get attention by picking on small issues.
Nikki Tamboli and Shehzad Deol get into a verbal spat over their kitchen duties.
Sidharth joins Shehzad Deol and Rahul Vaidya in chopping vegetables. Jasmin explains how women drool over men who can cook and how Sidharth’s participation in cooking made his fans happy. While chopping, Sidharth hurts himself, which leaves the housemates worried.
Gauahar Khan assigns Pavitra Punia the duty of cooking food while Shehzad Deol will chop vegetables.
Nikki Tamboli tells to the camera that she won’t be doing dishes anymore because she doesn’t want her manicure to get worse.

Rejected contestants struggle as they sleep in the rejected zone. Rubina Dilaik, Sara Gurpal and Nishant Singh Malkani talk about how they have to wait for the seniors and housemates to wake up for their necessities to reach them.
Jasmin Bhasin tries to convince Sidharth Shukla about sleeping on a bed tonight. Soon, Sidharth assigns Jasmin a bed. Nikki Tamboli, meanwhile, says that she wants the same bed assigned to Jasmin as the view is good from there.
Rahul Vaidya, in the presence of another contestant, succeeds in his task of getting a kiss from a girl in the house. He convincs Pavitra Punia stating he will help her going forward in the game.
Rahul Vaidya was given a task by the seniors to ask any one girl in the house to kiss him on the cheeks. In today’s episode, we see him trying to convince Nikki Tamboli for a kiss.
Gauahar Khan gets the rule book for the housemates, which she has to read in the presence of the rejected contestants - Rubina Dilaik, Jaan Kumar Sanu, Sara Gurpal and Nishant Singh Malkani. Gauhar informs freshers aka new contestants that they are dependent on Toofani Seniors. Gauahar will be deciding everything related to Kitchen area. She will be assigning kitchen duties too. Bedroom will be ruled by Sidharth. He will allow or not allow freshers in the room. Without Sidharth’s notice, no one can enter the room. All the luxuries in the house including BB Mall will be under Hina Khan. The contestants are allowed to take only one item from the Mall. Even if they take the suitcase, every item of the suitcase will be counted as one. Without Hina’s permission, the contestants cannot use the gym. Hina, Sidharth and Gauahar can eat as much as they want and even ask the new contestants to become their masseuse.
