1431 new COVID 19 cases, tally reaches 185707 in Bihar

Patna, Oct 3 (UNI) With 1,431 new COVID 19 cases coming to light, the tally of coronavirus positive cases increased to 1,85,707 so far in Bihar.Health department sources said here today that of the new cases, Patna reported with 236 followed by Purnea with 131, Jamui 59, Muzaffarpur 58, Araria 52, West Champaran 51, Banka 49, Gopalganj 48, Nalanda 46, Jehanabad 45, Siwan 44, Gaya 40, Bhagalpur 37, East Champaran, Kishanganj and Supaul 35 each, Madhepura 34, Madhubani 33, Rohtas 30, Saran 27, Vaishali and Samastipur 24 each, Shrikhpura 23, Aurangabad and Lakhisarai 22 each, Katihar and Buxar 21 each, Munger 20, Begusarai 19, Darbhanga, Saharsa and Bhojpur 18 each, Sitamarhi 15, Nawada 14, Arwal 6 and Kaimur, Sheohar and Khagaria 5 each.Apart from these cases, samples of 7 persons belonging to other states were collected and examined at various places in Bihar which were found to be Covid-19 positive.

With recovery of 1,497 infected persons during the past 24 hours, the recovery rate in the state is 92.82 per cent.

The state had 12,432 active cases where 1,72,364 people have so far recovered from the disease.

He said that one lakh 20 thousand 128 samples were examined on Thursday.UNI RS AKM

Nagaland detects 111 COVID-19 positive cases

Kohima, Oct 03 (UNI) In Nagaland, a total of 111 COVID-19 positive cases have been detected today and with these the total number of positive cases in the State now stands at 6,429. Nagaland Principal Secretary for Home Abhijit Sinha in a release informed that of the 111 cases, the breakup as 63 cases in Kohima and 48 cases in Dimapur. As per recovery record of today altogether 46 COVID-19 positive patients have been discharged and of them 43 cases from Dimapur and 3 cases from Kohima. Out of the 6,429 positive cases, the total recoveries so far are 5,207. The active cases are 1,150 and there have been 12 deaths. As per the severity of symptoms, 1,102 active cases are asymptomatic, 44 active cases are mild and 4 active cases are moderate. Further, out of 6,429 positive cases, the distributions across various categories of people are: 3,059 cases of Armed Forces and Police, 1,519 cases of returnees, 1,503 cases of traced contacts and 348 cases of front-line workers, the release said.
