Hyderabad, Oct 2 (UNI) Telangana reported 2,009 fresh Coronavirus positive cases till 2000 hours on Thursday taking the cumulative number of cases to 1,95,609 so far.

Ten patients had succumbed to the deadly virus during the last 24 hours pushing the overall COVID-19 deaths to 1,145 so far constituting a case fatality rate of 0.58 per cent as against the countrywide mortality rate of 1.6 per cent, a state health department bulletin said on Friday.

A total of 2,437 patients had recovered from Coronavirus till yesterday night hiking the total number of COVID-19 recoveries in the state to 1,65,884 with a recovery rate of 84.78 per cent while the National recovery rate was 83.5 per cent.

In all, 54,098 samples had been tested during the past 24 hours and of which the reports of 1,151 samples were awaited.

Since the outbreak of the Pandemic 31,04,542 COVID-19 tests had been carried out in the state, the bulletin said.

The number of active cases in the state stood at 28,620.

Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits, as usual, contributed a maximum number of 293 positive cases followed by Medchal Malkajigiri district (173), Ranga Reddy district (171), Karimnagar district (114) and Nalgonda district (109).

The remaining positive cases were reported from other districts in the state, the bulletin added.
