Kejriwal pays tributes to former PM Lal Bahadur Shastri on his 116 birth anniversary

New Delhi, Oct 2 (UNI) Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday paid floral tributes to former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on his 116th birth anniversary at his memorial Vijay Ghat here.
Remembering the former Prime Minister on the occasion of his birth anniversary, Mr Kejriwal, in a tweet in Hindi, said, ''The simple lifestyle and hard work of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri is an inspiration for every generation in Indian politics.''
Lal Bahadur Shastri, the second prime minister of India, was born in 1904 in Uttar Pradesh.
Shastri took over as the Prime Minister in May 1964, after the death of Jawaharlal Nehru.
