COVID: J&K reports fresh 1090 +ve cases, 14 deaths

Jammu, Oct 2 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Government on Friday informed that 1090 new positive cases of novel coronavirus, 603 from Jammu division and 487 from Kashmir division, have been reported, taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 77253.

Also 14 COVID-19 deaths have been reported; 10 from Jammu division and 04 from Kashmir Division.

Moreover, 1400 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 990 from Jammu Division and 410 from Kashmir Division.

According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Coronavirus (Covid-19), out of 77253 positive cases, 16089 are Active cases, 59952 have recovered and 1212 have died; 365 in Jammu division and 847 in Kashmir division.

The Bulletin further said that out of 1667587 test results available, 1590334 samples have been tested as negative till October 02.

Till date, 581282 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 15129 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 16089 in isolation and 49448 under home surveillance. Besides, 499404 persons have completed their surveillance period.
