nCoV: K'taka sees 125 deaths, 8793 fresh cases

Bengaluru, Oct 2 (UNI) The death toll in Karnataka due to COVID-19 disease reached 9119, as 125

persons, infected with the coronavirus, succumbed to the virus in the last 24-hour.

According to official sources, as many as 8793 persons also contracted the coronavirus, taking the total number of cases to 620630 in the state.

The sources said that Bengaluru Urban district registered highest number of 4259 cases, followed by

Bagalakote 68, Ballari 262, Bengaluru Rural 298, Bidar 43, Chamarajanagara and Belagavi 40 each, Chikkaballapura 91, Chikkamagaluru 123, Chitradurga 169, Dakshina Kannada 322, Davanagere 225, Dharwada 98, Gadag 80, Hassana 315, Haveri 61, Kalaburagi 98, Kodagu 30, Kolara 29, Koppala 89, Mandya 257, Mysuru 158, Raichuru 193, Ramanagara 150, SHivamogga 307, Tumakuru 405, Udupi 212, Uttara Kannada 80 Vijayapura 146 and Yadagiri district 145.

In the last 24 hours as man as 7094 COVID-19 patients, got discharged from various hospitals, after

completely cured from the pandemic disease.

The sources also revealed that in the last 24-hour, 92059 COVID-19 tests had been carried out

including 44046 of the Rapid Antigen Detection Tests.
